I understand we are moving out of topic; but not out of our basic idea: Technology. And Steve Jobs was a really big name in the tech industry. He made it happen, he had a vision and worked towards it. And he was successful. The only thing he wasn't able to do was fight the cancer that took him away from this world on October the 5th, 2011.
Leaving behind my sentiments, I present to you : Steve Jobs- the biography of a man who had an idea and gave the world Apple. In the book(which is very well written), you will come to know more about Steve Job's life and the inception of Apple Inc. in a suburban garage with Steve Wozniak.
There are some pictures too in the book of Jobs in his green and salad days with his famous McIntosh. It's not just a collectible, it's a source of inspiration. Steve Jobs teaches us how to overcome the bounds of reality and think of the future, now. Here's a really good quote from the man himself :
"A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets."
What I inferred from this is that it's not just about pushing products to your customers. Give them design, functionality and prices which force them to just keep on buying them. However, details of his illness and death are absent.
Walter Isaacson has done a really good job in giving us an insight about the man the world loved and passing on his experiences to the next generation of iFans. It's a very good piece of literature and if I must say.......truly inspiring!!! There are a lot of lessons to be learnt from this book and it's truly worth the price(honestly, I would pay even more!!).
