Convert your Non-Touch Windows 8 device into a stylus touch screen with Touch 8!!

So you've purchased a "non-touch" Windows 8 PC and hear your friends bragging about how awesome the OS is with the power of touch. Don't worry you, can still exploit the awesomeness of touch on a "non-touch" Windows 8 computer, thanks to this nifty stylus clip-on, Touch 8.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray has a Bravia Mobile Engine LED-backlit LCD 3.3-inch screen and weighs 100 g, but cannot be counted as a big phone by any means. It looks sleek with the matte finish on the sides and back and the embossed Xperia logo.

The all-glass screen with two arcs on top and the bottom add to the stylish look as well. The tactile feedback of the buttons is good, but the volume rocker could have been bigger. The SIM card slot and microSD card slot are housed under the battery, so there’s no hot-swap feature.

The phone is powered by a 1 GHz Scorpion processor with an Adreno 205 GPU, an MSM8255 Snapdragon chipset and runs on Android 2.3.3. Running on top is SE’s stock Timescape UI that displays Facebook, Twitter and other extensions as tiles you can scroll through on the home screen. It looks good, but its pretty average as far as functionality goes. Screen response is fast, but it’s quite small to type on in portrait mode. The interface is simple, but swift, and navigation is effortless.

The Ray’s music player doesn’t disappoint. The speakers are based on Sony’s xLOUD audio filter tech and the sound from them is crisp and clear.

However, the bundled headphones aren’t the best and have a lot of sound leakage. The device is 3G capable, and other connectivity features include Wi-Fi with hotspot capability, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR, DLNA, microUSB 2.0 and GPRS/EDGE. NFC, USB on-the-go and Bluetooth 3.0 support are all missing. The 8 megapixel rear camera features Sony’s Exmor R CMOS sensor with autofocus and an LED flash. There’s no dedicated camera button and at times, the camera doesn’t recognize your touch and doesn’t click.

The front VGA camera is decent and performs well during video chats sessions or during self portraits. Video shooting at 720p is impressive, the flash is quite powerful and images in lowlight conditions are captured pretty well. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is priced at Rs 20,000. At that price, it competes with the likes of the Google Nexus S and the LG Optimus Black.

The 8 megapixel camera is brilliant, but having a smaller 3.3-inch screen may not appeal to everyone. And as mentioned earlier, the smaller keyboard will take some time to get used to. Full HD 1080p recording isn’t present and the internal memory is a mere 1 GB out of which only 300 MB can be used.
Yes, the smartphone performs pretty well with whatever features it has and has the Bravia Mobile Engine as well, but choosing this phone over the other ones currently in the market will be more due to personal taste and choice than the features it offers.

TCop- Finally, A gadget that protects your mobike!!

It's become a nuisance these days; a guy gets the copy of your mobike's key, makes a duplicate, finds your bike and takes it away. But now, you can get rid of this with a little help of technology. It's called TCop bike security.

It's just a small, palm-sized box. You can wire it into your bike and integrate the software into a regular cell phone(no smartphone required). It works on those old hard plastic Nokias too!!

Here's how it works, imagine you've parked your bike and some random person comes and puts an identical key into the ignition slot. Instantly, TCop sends you a message on your phone, asking whether it's you trying to switch on the bike. If you send a message of denial,i.e., no, TCop switches of the ignition and immobilizes the key.

So you can rush back, catch your culprit and let the law do the rest of the work. It's a really good gadget and I think everyone should get TCop wired into their bikes, especially in countries in south and south-east asia, where theives are lurking around in every corner.

Keep your bike safe and have a great day!!

VisuZ 3D Filter- Play 3D games on a 2D monitor!!

Now who wouldn't want to play 3D games without worrying about buying a dedicated 3D monitor. Well, now there's a solution, and it's called the VisuZ Detachable 3D Filter. Developed by 3D Holograms, it packs the special CLD screen technology and basically is just a screen board clip-on and is very light(what did you think, a 10kg expansion box!!). It runs all 2D DirectX games(the standard videogame format) in 3D on your standard 2D monitors.

Once you install the software and clip on the screen, you might feel that it is a total rip-off. But within a few seconds, you get the feeling depth while gaming and that's what 3D is all about-being inside the game.

Let's talk numbers. How much do you think the VisuZ would cost? A whopping 2000 dollars? No. 1000? 750? 500?....................All you have to do is go to your nearest consumer electronics shop with just $350(USD)!!!!!

That's it...........I can bet you hardcore gamers must be on the edge of your seats. So I won't keep you waiting any longer. Go ahead and give your gaming experience...........the 3rd dimension!!
